Editorial approach

What this site is trying to do

Vancouver Whistler Canada is an editorial trip-planning guide. The goal is not to become the largest directory of hotels, tours or restaurants. It is to answer the decisions that determine whether the trip works: how many days, where to base yourself, how to move between destinations, which stops deserve time, how seasons change the plan and what needs to be checked again before departure.

We use official tourism organizations, transportation agencies and park authorities as primary planning sources, then explain the trade-offs in plain language.

What we deliberately avoid

  • Auto-generated business directories
  • Fake “top 10” rankings with no decision logic
  • Copying dynamic prices and schedules that will age quickly
  • Pretending a two-hour map estimate is a reliable winter itinerary
  • Sending every reader toward the same transport or accommodation choice
  • Stuffing pages with repeated city names for search engines
Transparency

Commercial relationships

Some transportation pages link to affiliated private-transport businesses, including Destiny Limousine, Black Car Services and ChauffeurServices.ca. Those relationships are disclosed beside the relevant links.

Affiliation does not make private transportation the best choice for every reader. The guide also compares public transit, scheduled coaches, rental cars and official visitor resources, and it explains when each mode makes more sense. There is no sitewide commercial-link block and no paid ranking table.

Image policy

Photography

Editorial landscape photography is sourced from photographers who make their images available under the Unsplash License. Each hero or feature image includes an on-image credit linking to the original photo page. The production build is designed to serve locally hosted AVIF first with WebP fallback at responsive sizes. A one-time localization utility downloads the selected licensed source images into the site assets folder; the browser only uses the remote source as a safety fallback if a local image is missing.

The site is not affiliated with Destination Vancouver, Tourism Whistler, Tourism Squamish, Destination BC, BC Parks, DriveBC, YVR or TransLink.
